Eventually, I got involved in Republican politics in Knoxville - and worked on two iterations of the County party's website - this is the second effort I completed in coordination with Knoxville-based programmer Ben Farmer.
Intially, we used the Greymatter software to post announcements - but then moved to Movable Type and eventually WordPress. The Chairman became quite prolific in blogging on the site - and we had to back-up all the archives to SQL after the intial conversion.
This site also used a pretty cool Javascript that rotated images of Knoxville Republicans on the masthead.
