Okay, so I was going to make the short trip to Nashville to attend the WKRN blogger get-together tonight, but the more I thought about it the more I realized I'm not really plugged into the Nashville blogging community in the same way that some folks are. So, I've come up with a list of reasons I can't attend tonight:

10. I made fun of WKRN once as a kid - and I still feel bad about it.

9. I didn't get worked up over some guy named NemesisBoy. Seriously - who's that?

8. Last time I saw Bill Hobbs, I ended up helping him carry stuff to his car.

7. I don't own a pair of red pants or cat pants.

6. I only know one Japanese phrase and I'm sure Mr. Roboto gets tired of hearing it, especially on a Thursday night.

5. I'm seriously envious of Blake Wylie. Dude - antique British cars, kicking photography from the best cameras, Cuban cigars, all the hot libertarian ladies. Dude.

4. 20-to-1 odds that Mike Kopp doesn't show.

3. My personal blog sucks. Seriously, this is the best post in years.

2. I've never been to Mothership BBQ.

1. I've never been linked on NashvilleisTalking.com -- okay, maybe once, but I didn't feel like smoking a cigarette afterwards.
