Congratulations to Ed Bryant for securing the TRL endorsement. As a proud right to life person, the Author wishes to give a friendly word of warning to the Bryant Campaign. Specifically, note that both the Knoxville News Sentinel and the Associated Press used the term "Anti-Abortion" in their column head. For the next 10 months, other candidates will try to align the Tennessee Pro-Life movement with the 2% extremists' element that mainstream media continuously try to paint the remaining 98% of the group. -- Conservative Pensieri

Unfortunately this is not reporter or headline writing bias. It's a bias in the AP style itself. From the AP Stylebook:

abortion Use anti-abortion instead of pro-life and abortion rights instead of pro-abortion or pro-choice. Avoid abortionist, which connotes a person who performs clandestine abortions; use a term such as abortion doctor or abortion practitioner.
