Senate hopeful Bob Corker has hired Chris LaCivita, a Republican strategist that helped Swift Boat Veterans for Truth develop its message. Democratic officials were critical of the pick, but Republican political operatives, including Brad Todd, a close advisor to fellow Senate candidate Van Hilleary, defended LaCivita.
