The Nashville City Paper has a shocking story about a Brentwood Church that may be importing voters to try to influence Brentwood's City Elections. The Save Brentwood candidates, as they have been called, are three candidates that if all elected would give the Church a majority on the Commission. Several of the candidates are members of the Remnant Fellowship Church, a group previously thought to be the source of doctrine for two parents charged with killing their son with corporal punishment. Remnant's sudden interest in politics seems to stem from a tabled request it currently has before the Council to house a K-5 school on its property. I wonder if they'll institute the Remnant policy on spanking.
